RAPHAEL SYLVESTER was a second half substitute for Harlow Town as the Hawks went down to a 3-1 defeat to AFC Wimbledon in the Ryman Premier League on Saturday.

Sylvester, 19, joined the Essex club on a work experience basis on Friday and went straight into the squad for their game the following day.

807 fans turned out at the Barrows Farm Stadium, but they couldn't influence the result as a hat-trick from Wimbledon's Anthony Finn meant Mark Taylor's goal on the stroke of half time counted for little.

Sylvester played the final 26 minutes of the game, but the damage had already been done and Harlow fell to defeat.
