ALTON THELWELL is set for his first 45-minute appearance of pre-season when Orient travel to League Two new boys Aldershot Town for their latest friendly match on Saturday.

27-year-old defender Thelwell has missed Orient's three friendlies so far as he recovers from a knee injury that kept him out at the end of last season, but he has stepped up his training this week and is available for selection at the Recreation Ground.

Striker Ryan Jarvis also returns to the squad after missing Wednesday's win at Dagenham & Redbridge with a groin strain, but midfielder Sean Thornton will not play at Aldershot due to a sore groin.

On loan Tottenham striker Simon Dawkins will be looking to build on his impressive midweek debut at Dagenham, while young defender Chris Robson is once again included in the squad.
