SIX of the Club's out-of-contract players were told on Tuesday that their services will not be retained for next season.

O's manager Martin Ling held face-to-face meetings with his entire playing staff and Wayne Corden, Sam Oji, Jabo Ibehre, Efe Echanomi, Raphael Sylvester and Clayton Fortune were all handed the news that their deals would not be renewed.

On-loan Tottenham youngsters Charlie Daniels and Andy Barcham will also leave Brisbane Road after the end of their long-term loan deals from the Barclays Premier League outfit.

Former Cheltenham winger JJ Melligan, who has two years left on his contract, has been transfer listed.

Alton Thelwell, Glenn Morris and Paul Terry have been offered new contracts and are now in negotiations with the Club.

For Ibehre, the decision ends an eight-year accociation with the first team squad, with the striker having made his debut back in March 2000.

He made 242 senior appearances for the O's, scoring 41 goals - including one in Saturday's 3-1 win over Bristol Rovers.

Corden was a member of Orient's promotion-winning side in the 2005/06 season, having joined on loan from Scunthorpe United for the tail end of that campaign.

The 32-year-old wingman made the move permanent that summer and played 84 games for the Club before joining Notts County on loan in March.

Oji was a January transfer window signing from Birmingham City. The 22-year-old defender, who also spent three months on loan at Brisbane Road in the first half of this season, played 15 games for the east Londoners.

Fortune arrived in E10 two years ago from Bristol City, but he only played 11 games for the O's over that period.  He spent much of last season on loan at Port Vale and missed a large proportion of this campaign with a shoulder injury.

Echanomi came through the ranks at Brisbane Road and scored nine goals in 59 appearances for the first team.

Sylvester, meanwhile, was in the third year of his scholarship with the O's, having been sidelined in the 2006/07 campaign with a broken leg.

He couldn't force his way in to the O's first team and will now move on to pastures new.
