ORIENT youngster Bradley Gray started as St Albans City secured their Blue Square South status with a 0-0 draw at Maidenhead United on Tuesday night.

The O's scholar, 17, has been enjoying a work experience spell with the Hertfordshire club and he played the 90 minutes in last night's vital draw.

He was involved in the move which led to a 26th minute penalty for the Saints, but midfielder Paul Bruce had his spot kick saved by Maidenhead stopper Chris Tardif.

Gray also played for former O's man Steve Castle's side on Saturday, scoring one goal and setting another up as they defeated Eastleigh 3-2.

That was his second goal in St Albans colours, from just four appearances.
