Leyton Orient 1 - 2 Millwall
Pontin's Holidays Combination Central Division

JABO IBEHRE scored for the third successive reserve game but it was not enough to prevent the O's from falling to a 2-1 defeat to Millwall on Tuesday.

Ibehre's performance was the sole bright spot on a disappointing afternoon for Dean Smith's men, who had the lead given to them by Ibehre overturned by goals from Jamie O'Hara and Sam Higgins - with the winner coming just two minutes from the end.

The O's assistant manager was disappointed with the attitude and application of his team, who have now fallen to defeat in three of their four Combination matches.

Millwall were on the front foot from the off and O's goalkeeper Michael Doyle had to deny Jay Simpson in a one-on-one situation with just two minutes on the clock.

Eight minutes later O'Hara curled a free kick onto the post as Millwall continued their bright start and Simpson soon went close again, heading wide after Ryan James had made a strong burst down the left to cross.

However, Orient took the lead against the run of play on 25 when Ibehre ran clear of the defence to reach a long ball forward and send a fine low, angled drive across away keeper Lenny Pidgeley and into the far corner.

Jack Page then volleyed over the top, but Millwall were level with 34 minutes on the clock when O'Hara - on loan from Tottenham - curled a superb free-kick over the wall and away from Doyle's dive.

The Lions more than deserved their equaliser, but Orient enjoyed a good spell ten minutes after the restart and they were desperately unlucky not to retake the lead when Solomon Shields' shot cannoned back off the crossbar following some good work from Ibehre.

Efe Echanomi also fluffed a good chance after being played in by JJ Melligan.

Millwall soon took control again and Higgins fired home an excellent winner after Michael Noone carried the ball a long way before offloading to the winger.

It was the least the visitors deserved as Orient were left to reflect on a disappointing performance.
