OPEN DAY POSTPONED
THE CLUB have had to postpone Sunday's Open Day due to flooding caused by Friday's torrential rain.
The event has now been put back to Sunday August 5 and will start at 12pm.
Poor weather on Friday has caused flood damage to concourse and some indoor areas, and with the West Ham friendly coming up on Tuesday the club needs the maximum amount of time to prepare the stadium for the showpiece fixture.
The Supporters Club will still open from 10.30am on Sunday as will the ticket office to allow supporters to collect season tickets or purchase match tickets for friendlies and early league games.
Chief executive Matthew Porter said: "I'm sorry that we have had to disappoint our supporters at such short notice, but I'm sure that they will understand that it is crucial that the stadium looks its best for Martin Ling's testimonial on Tuesday. We will still hold an open day and hopefully the weather will pick up over the next few days to prevent further disruption."
There are no problems anticipated for Tuesday when the North Stand will be officially opened and the new dressing rooms used for the first time.
