MARTIN LING is looking for his side to react positively to their defeat to Gillingham in tomorrow's meeting with Swansea.

The O's shrugged off their only previous loss this season by beating Bristol Rovers and, as the manager explained, a similar result would go down nicely on Saturday.

He said: "It's massively important that we bounce back from that defeat to Gillingham with a positive performance tomorrow.

"We dealt with a similar situation when we won at Bristol Rovers on the back of a defeat and we will have to do that again.

"It's how we react to defeats that will shape our season, so tomorrow's game against Swansea is a big one for us.

"We've let in nine goals in the past three games now. We've had an extra defensive session this week, but I don't think it's down to just the back four players.

"It's down to the whole 11 players and I think when I look at the Gillingham team, maybe the balance of the midfield wasn't quite right. If you asked all four players what they enjoyed doing most, they'd put attacking first and defending second.

"It's a case of digging in, but defensive players have got to contribute in an attacking sense as well. We've gone over those points and we've got to improve for tomorrow."

Ling believes that Swansea will be one of the teams challenging for promotion at the end of the season - so Saturday's game will be a good yardstick of his team's progress.

He continued: "I feel that Swansea will be a top six side, and with our next two games coming against them and Leeds, it will be a solid test for us.

"Roberto Martinez will try to get them to play a little more football than previously. We know what to expect and it will be a tough game, but I'd like us to put a 90-minute performance in at home.

"We haven't really done that yet, so that's what I'm looking to change."

With only Clayton Fortune (shoulder) and Raphael Sylvester (hamstring) missing with injury, Ling has vitually a fully-fit squad to choose from for tomorrow's game, so changes could be in the offing.

Ling added: "There were 19 players training this morning which is the most I've had this season. It gives me food for thought and it's nice to have a squad to pick from."
