ADAM BOYD struck the only goal as Orient maintained their stunning start to the season by defeating AFC Bournemouth at Brisbane Road on Saturday.

Martin Ling's men recovered from a below-par first half, in which the visitors controlled possession, to boss the second period and eventually gain their reward.

Boyd was the man to break the deadlock, turning neatly inside the box with 19 minutes left to play to strike a low shot past Cherries stopper Asmir Begovic.
