It was interesting to read in last Saturday's match programme at Elland Road, that 'The Real League One Table' has Leeds United with their 15 points restored to their tally.

On that basis, it would only be fair of us to assume that all of their future tables will add an additional two points to our tally following Adam Boyd's excellent 'winner' three minutes from time.

It is not for me to comment here on the performance of Nigel Miller and his assistants, but speaking to Martin just minutes after the final whistle, I told him not to worry about the repercussions of any comments he may make - sometimes things just need saying, and the efforts of those officials last Saturday produced one of those times.

We weren't surprised that the appeal against Sean's red card was rejected on Tuesday. Disappointed and annoyed yes, but surprised no. After all, we'd already been forewarned by the referee's assessor that the appeal stood little chance - just after we sent off the cheque for £500 to cover the cost of the appeal actually.

But enough griping, what's done is done and we live with the consequences. One of which, I am sure, will be the confidence the players will take from their superb efforts on the day in the face of such difficult circumstances.

I'm sure that those of you who travelled up there and made so much noise despite being outnumbered 1500 to 27500 will also have taken much heart from what you saw from the lads and it's a shame that you weren't rewarded with that perfectly legitimate goal too.

Following on from recent results, it was a real point proven of the squad's abilities and commitment as well as the determination of everyone within the club to prove that our excellent start to the season has not been a fluke.

On to other matters and I received a fair few emails from supporters on the back of the Chairman's comments in our last programme regarding our poor attendances.

As I said in each of my replies, it is not our intention to criticise our loyal supporters - quite the opposite - merely a way of venting our frustrations that we can not attract larger numbers through the turnstiles.

Our core support is our lifeblood and we never forget that, but it would be a mistake for us not to try different ways of increasing that number, particularly at this time when the club is performing so well.

Thank you to all of you who took part in our recent ticket promotions, and please keep an eye out for some more initiatives we have planned for the next few weeks and months.

Up the O's
